The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce [ゼルダの伝説 神々のトライフォース]) is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the third game in The Legend of Zelda series and was released in 1991 in Japan and 1992 in North America and Europe.

A Link to the Past focuses on Link as he journeys to save Hyrule, defeat the dark lord Ganon, and rescue the descendants of the Seven Sages.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the upcoming game in Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda series for Nintendo 3DS. The game takes place in the same world as the 1991 Super Nintendo Entertainment System title, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, taking place six generations following that game’s events The game will be released on November 22, 2013 in North America and Europe, and on December 26, 2013 in Japan. It is the second retail game in the series released on the 3DS, after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
